We were treated to a snow day this past week. The boys sure were happy that there was no school. Justin wanted to take this picture of me because he thought it was pretty funny that I got covered with snowflakes while trying to capture pictures of him in the snow!

The beginning of the snow fall. Justin enjoyed trying to catch snowflakes on his tongue!

We eventually got about 2 inches of snow on the ground, but it didn't last too long! Maybe next year...

Warrior Basketball's Tough Season

This has been a tough season for Justin and the whole Warrior team. The team has only won 2 games to their 6 losses! (Justin on the free throw line)

This last game was especially rough with 3 players being injured, one being Justin!

(Once again on the free throw line)

He came out of the game with knees covered with bruises and a "dead-leg" to the thigh. One fall sent him sliding down the court after his cheek literally bounced off the floor.
He was a trooper and never had to come out of the game but it left me biting my nails!

(Justin taking the ball down the court)

The whole team deserves a lot of credit for never giving up and keeping the true Warrior spirit of good sportsmanship through the losses. It is hard to lose, when all other seasons have been full of wins...but the guys have showed that they are conducting themselves in a way that would please our heavenly Father! The season is only half over...so GO WARRIORS!!!

Happy New Year!!!

We have a great time staying home and SAFE on New Year's Eve. Our traditional celebration begins with homemade pizzas! I make the dough early and when it is ready we all make our own pizzas. Justin makes a cheese only calzone. Tyler makes a pepperoni & cheese calzone. James makes a "lots of everything" pizza. I make a pepperoni, cheese, pineapple and black olive pizza. After dinner we watch TV until close to midnight and then we turn to channel 5 to watch the countdown and the fireworks at the Space Needle. The boys like to set off the "safe & sane" popper fireworks (I will only buy those...nothing that needs to be lit with fire!) to celebrate the new year. After that I head off to bed, the guys stay up until whenever...this year it was 4am when they went to bed! However you rang in the new year, we wish for you a happy, healthy year!
