Aloha!

Tyler was fortunate enough to get to go to Hawaii this summer with his good friend Brad. This was actually his 3rd trip to Hawaii with Brad and his family.

They always go to the island of Maui. I gave Tyler 2 disposable cameras and told him to take some pictures for me. I was lucky enough to get about 8 pictures.

They visited Whaler's Village and Tyler posed with these whale bones.

He also apparently tried to kiss a stuffed gorilla...
He had a great time as usual!
Thanks Brad and family!

What a Couple

This picture was taken on the 4th of July on a disposable camera so it was not on the disc with our other 4th pictures! Had to post it late...

Family Camp 2008

Our door...In Lundgren Lodge-named after my grandfather on my mom's side. Bror Lundgren.

Airsoft maniacs. They were able to play airsoft on the camp's paintball field. L to R: Tommy, Justin, James, Jordan, Dave and Thad.

Tyler and Justin with Gpa and Gma outside the dining hall.

The gang coming up the hill.

Justin played in a pickleball tournament. He took 3rd place. He took 1st place in the mini-golf and in the 3-on-3 basketball tournaments.

On the water trampoline. The weather was not the best on this day but they still had fun in the water. Justin, Thad and Tyler.

Justin in the crow's nest and Tyler trying to knock him off!

Tommy (our neighbor who came with us) challenges Rick to solve the Rubix Cube in the "North American Idol" talent show. Tommy easily solved it in less than 2 minutes this time!

Justin, Tommy, Thad and Tyler enjoy one of the great meals we had this year. The food was very good considering it was "camp food".
It was a great week at camp. It is so good to see old friends every year and to just pick up where you left off last summer. It really is like one great big family. Watching the kids grow up year to year and sharing in every one's joys and sorrows. I think it gives us a glimpse of what heaven will be like... Anyone who would be interested in joining us next year, just let us know we would be happy to get you the information. Hurry though...camp fills up fast!!!

Welcome to the Crow's Nest!

Here my boys have fun with the crow's nest at Lake Retreat. Justin is in the basket at the top and Tyler is attempting to flip him out!

We're Off!!!

We are off on our annual Family Camp week at Lake Retreat Camp in Ravensdale, WA. This is a camp that my family went to when I was growing up and now we go with our kids and (my parents) Gpa & Gma Miller.

James will only get to be there part of the time because his union was on strike a couple of weeks ago and they are back to work now.

This is a video of Justin being "blobbed" last year at camp. Be patient watching it...not sure what the hold up was but he does eventually go flying! (sorry I don't know how to rotate it!)

I will post new pictures when we return!

Congrats Nicole & Justin!

Tonight we attended the wedding of James' cousin Nicole and her long time boyfriend Justin. Here is MY Justin dancing with the beautiful bride during the money dance!

Tyler and Justin pose with Grandpa John and Mimi. (great-grandparents)

Justin really had fun dancing...quite the little "ham"...he definitely takes after his father!

Don't you think he "cleans-up" well?

Tyler too!

Justin with his Auntie Michelle.

Cousins Jordan and Paul try to control Justin...

The family picture!

Happy 4th of July!!!

For the 4th of July we are fortunate enough to be able to have wonderful place to go to enjoy the holiday! James' parents live right above Ruston way where the Tacoma Freedom Fair is held every 4th. We are able to walk down to the fair from their house and return for a BBQ and a great place to watch the fireworks! Justin "borrowed" his cousin Josh's hat and glasses for this picture.

Justin, GMA and GPA enjoy the BBQ food.

The "Tall Ships" were in town for the 4th. This is the view we have from the Duras' front yard...

James finally breaks away from the BBQ long enough to grab some food! Our yellow lab Max waits patiently for some too!

James and his sister Michelle!

Justin and cousin Evan return from walking Max down at the Freedom Fair.
