GO RAINBOWS!

James cousin Gina is the assistant coach for the University of Hawaii's women's soccer team...the Rainbows. They were in town this past weekend to play UW's women. We all went to the game and Tyler brought his friend Daniel. They play together on the MRLH soccer team.

Justin and James...

Tyler and Holly...

This is the whole gang that came to watch and cheer on the "Bows" and Gina!!! Gina is kneeling in the front row with the dark shirt and green shorts.

On the ride home Justin fell asleep. So precious when they sleep!

Tyler made me post this picture of my sunburn. It is almost October...so I was not even thinking about the sun! (Sorry I don't know how to turn the picture.) The rest of my family with the Hawaiian blood had no trouble with the sun- they just get nice and dark!

Today the Hawks were cheered on to victory by Lila! (also Auntie Jen, Uncle Tim and Evan). It was another beautiful day for an outdoor game.

The Hawks played a great game and came out victorious over Grace Academy. It was a long awaited win and we look forward to another soon!

Warrior Flag Football Win #1

Concordia Warriors have made the switch from soccer to flag football. Today was their 1st game.
Justin is 3rd from the right with his back to the camera.

The weather was perfect for the game. The sun was out but not too hot! Justin played offense today and he is the backup quarterback.

In motion!!!!

Final score! We are the red! It was a great game.

Quality Time...

My brother Mark and his wife Gwen are celebrating their anniversary at Disneyland. This means my parents are having some quality time with their kids- Noah, Ethan, Abby and Cole.
Today Justin and I went to their house to get in on the quality time. Abby read her homework story to me and then showed off her talent of walking with a book on her head!

The boys played in the rain in the back yard and then Ethan put on a video to watch. He was momentarily joined by Cole.

Noah and Justin then played the Wii but were kind enough to pose for a picture. Crazy cousins!

Like Father, Like Son...

A few days ago I posted Tyler with his mask that he bought at the fair...lovely. (See the post for Sept. 14th- "Puyallup Fair Day") Today I came across this picture of James (standing) and his brother Johnathan. Sorry its kinda hard to see. I guess the Pagdilao boys like to have their faces beautifully decorated...Like Father, Like Son!!!

Hawks Soccer!

Tyler in action! It is easy to find him on the field...just look for the flying mop of hair!

Tyler always gives his all when he is on the field!

Another disappointing loss, but our Hawks always show good sportsmanship that we can be proud of!

He Can Play!!!

Tyler was released by the doctor to play soccer. There is a game tonight so he had to dress up for school. This is one of the new shirts and ties that Tyler picked out on Sunday. His dress clothes selection was looking pretty bad so we shopped after church.

Justin also looked especially nice today-picture day! SMILE!

Puyallup Fair Day

Last Thursday was the boy's school fair day with a half day dismissal. Tyler had soccer practice after school so Justin went out to the fair with some friends. I waited for Tyler to finish practice and then we headed out. James joined us after work.

Justin has uncanny luck at winning those impossible games at the fair! And then calling me to tell me he has something for me to carry...

This was the 1st year that they were allowed to hang out with their friends without an adult along. Tyler with his friends Daniel and Byron.

One of Tyler's purchases at the fair. A skeleton hat.

Another of Ty's purchases...maybe its not so good to let them be alone at the fair????

At home that night. I guess that Tyler thought he needed to make sure the "Spanish wrestling mask" worked???
A good time was had by all!

1st Soccer Game of the Season

Today was the first soccer game for MRLH Hawks! Tyler is still on the injured list and is not able to play (which is ok for me on this game which was in Mount Vernon and I really didn't want to drive all the way up there). Technically injured players are not allowed to go to away games with the team, but his coach asked us if he could go along acting as a manager for today's game. That way he would be able to go with the team and be at the game as well as filling the manager role that they have not filled yet. Ty was happy and willing to fill in where needed. He is chomping at the bit to get back on the soccer field but still has alot of pain in his toe. Next Tuesday he goes back to the doctor for reevaluation.

Welcome Back to School...Day 2

Justin started his 8th grade year at Concordia Lutheran School yesterday. This will be his last year here and then he will be off to join Ty at the high school.

Ty started his 11th grade year at Mount Rainier Lutheran High School yesterday. Hard to believe that only 2 more years and he will be off to college.

These pictures were taken this morning (2nd day of school). I took pictures yesterday morning (1st day) but I hadn't put the scan disk back into the camera so the pictures I took are stored on the internal memory of the camera. I don't know where the cord is to connect the camera to the computer so that I can retrieve the pictures...

Just a little bump in the road...

Tyler has started soccer season this last week with 2-a-day practices. On Thursday he started to complain that his toe hurt and it had started swelling. He did not want to go to the doctor, just wanted to keep playing soccer. Play through the pain. Well, as of this morning it had not gotten any better and I insisted that he go to the doctor. The report: a fractured toe with concern about the whole foot. He had xrays taken and we will find out the results of them tomorrow. No soccer for 2 weeks! Please pray that his toe will heal quickly. He loves soccer and it is killing him to have to go to practice and just watch!
